Review on Satake Molybdenium Vanadium Stainless 801 515 by Jason Ingram

Made in Japan! best cutlery and knife accessories

I was looking for a genuine Japanese sashimi knife or something similar or at least something well made. I don't mean Chinese made. I'm impressed with how sharp it is and how easily it cuts through fish. It's lightweight and someone who doesn't know anything about knives will think this is a cheap plastic knife. It's made of molybdenum and vanadium, so that's no surprise. I like its simplicity. I would choose functionality over aesthetics. If you know how to take it correctly, it will serve you for many years.

Pros
  • Santoku knife
Cons
  • Some difficulties
