Description of Satake Molybdenium Vanadium Stainless 801 515

Country of origin - Japan. Technical data: Blade - molybdenum-vanadium stainless steel with 58 HRC Handle - natural magnolia wood Overall length - 29.8 cm, Blade length - 17 cm, Blade width - 4.3 cm, Blade thickness - 1.6 mm. Sharpening method - 12-15 deg. Single bevel right side, Weight - about 115 g. Easy Care - this Japanese Santoku universal knife is easy and fast to clean. For long knife life, for protecting the sharpness and glossiness of the knives, please DO NOT wash the knives in dishwasher. NOTE! Clean and dry them after hand washing to get the most out of them. For a long service life, keep it separately from other kitchen utensils, always wash it after use and wipe it dry. In this case, the long service of your knife will be like your reward for taking care of it. Ergonomic Magnolia Handle - The Ergonomic Handle of this knife has perfect grip and great balance, so it's a classic Japanese knife handle, the design of which was developed more than two centuries ago and is still the best in the opinion of Japanese craftsmen. If you cut fish, meat, chicken and want to do it easily, this knife is the perfect solution for you according to the opinion of Japanese craftsmen, which has been passed down from generation to generation. The steel from which these knives are made is distinguished by the highest level of strength, provided by the presence of molybdenum and vanadium in its composition. The blade hardness, which is optimal for knives, is explained by the increased carbon content in the metal composition and the special technology of its heat treatment. The steel of this knife, due to the presence of chromium in its composition, is also distinguished by its increased resistance to corrosion.

These KNIVES are an incredible addition to our Home and Kitchen. The blades are incredibly sharp and long-lasting thanks to the high-quality materials used .The knives are also easy to handle and comfortable to use. The only downside is the price, but the quality definitely justifies the cost. Highly recommend this knife set!

Made in Japan! best cutlery and knife accessories

I was looking for a genuine Japanese sashimi knife or something similar or at least something well made. I don't mean Chinese made. I'm impressed with how sharp it is and how easily it cuts through fish. It's lightweight and someone who doesn't know anything about knives will think this is a cheap plastic knife. It's made of molybdenum and vanadium, so that's no surprise. I like its simplicity. I would choose functionality over aesthetics. If you know how to take it correctly, it will serve you

Pros
  • Santoku knife
Cons
  • Some difficulties
