Literally hold the steering wheel for my Range Rover Sport not fixed. They are too thin, need a thicker shim to hold the wheel. If I remove all the other 4 bolts and leave them in place, you can literally take my wheel off. So they're not really doing anything to protect it. It is actually dangerous that I have a useless screw on each wheel while driving. Might work for other cars I don't know but not for a Range Rover.
