Review on GearWrench 85063 Micrometer Torque Wrench by Marco Gavi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The long handle is great for TIGHTENING screws, not loosening them.

I researched at random for many months before deciding on this torque wrench and I am very happy with my decision. I love that everything is metal with no plastic button or locking ring to break. The knurled metal handle with locking ring adjusts easily and stays where you set it. I chose this one mainly because of its length. At almost 2ft the nuts get almost too easy to tighten and the 150ft/lb max range should be good enough to work on my cars. I also liked that it comes with a calibration certificate showing that the manufacturer believes their product is accurate. I've been using it every time I swap summer and winter wheels for two years now and so far it's showing no signs of wear or stress on the bushing so I feel like it's good quality steel. FYI, anyone who uses a torque wrench to loosen nuts or bolts should look into a breaker bar. Torque wrenches are precision calibrated tools and are only meant to tighten bolts to factory specs and you will screw them up trying to break fasteners. especially if they are rusted or jammed.
