I used this 1.5 farad PC cap for my family's tractor install. Of course, I'm only using about 300W RMS, but wanted to make sure I wasn't putting tons of stress on the electrical system (Chryslers can be temperamental, lol). It turned out great. The tension does not drop at all and everything works exactly as it should. For folks over 1000w this isn't for you, you need a big cap rated for what you're working on or better yet a separate battery. I'm using 10 farads (which I think is closer to 4 or 5) but is in line with my current 600w setup in my car. I'm willing to upgrade my car and make it bigger and better, but I'll put my own battery in it. I could still try the cap and see but I think it won't work if I hit 1000+ watts on the sub. For a simple, low-power upgrade on your trip, this cover is great.
