Ineffective. I bought it to keep my headlights from dimming when playing in stereo. I think it's just to look cool. 1.5 farads is probably a bit off. No strong capacitor.

LED indicator burned out during charging. Although the capacitor works. No big deal. The multimeter confirmed the charge and I monitored it with a voltmeter while the system played. It remained constant at the level of 14.3 volts.

Fixed boat radio issue. 2 boats with the same radio off problem and finally figured out this was the answer. Voltage drop is a problem. Capacitor is the answer. Good value for money. Mark the cap before removing. Great post is positive.

WOW! I could talk all day about how HUGE it was to get this in my system. They don't even sound like the same amps. Using 1600w and 400w SSL amplifiers (Soundstorm). As long as you remember to charge it with a resistor and then immediately connect it to a battery, it won't let you down. In theory, the capacitor should hold its charge after power is removed; However, this didn't happen when I first charged it with a resistor.
