Review on EasyTheory Absorbent Purpose Kitchen Washing by Everett Underberg

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent dry absorption

I've been using this for about 1 1/2 months, long enough to test its effectiveness. I've never used anything that absorbs water better when dry. However, when they are wet, the absorbency decreases and they have to be wrung out vigorously. They also absorb moisture so well that they take a long time to dry if hung on a hook above the sink. Other pluses: They can be rinsed out to get rid of even unpleasant odors like canned salmon, so they don't automatically go in the wash with this use. Things that sponges and bamboo towels normally stain don't stain them. I wash them with whites in hot wash water and bleach. I washed as recommended on the packaging prior to first use and did not notice any shedding. Possible downside: since it's pulp, I didn't dare to put them in the dryer, but since they take a long time to air dry, I'll try washing them the next day. CONS: Because they absorb so much, they need to be wrung out hard to get adequate absorption, and they take so long to dry that there's a learning curve if you want your dish rack and backsplash to go unnoticed. : The demand for wood pulp has become so great that its supply is no longer met by waste from wood processing plants, so real trees are being felled to meet demand. Conclusion: They work better than anything I've ever used. I haven't used sponges or paper towels in at least 20 years.
