Well-made measuring spoons with sturdy handles

So far they've held up well. I've looked at many measuring cups and these seem to be the best for the price. I couldn't bend the handles with my hands. I don't like measuring cups with curved handles made of flimsy sheet metal at all. I cook several meals a day and appreciate good kitchen appliances. I like that the cups have straight sides and a well-defined rim, making them easy to use when picking up hard or hardened material. The handle sits flush with the rim of the mug, so you can easily remove the top of the material with a table knife for accurate measurements. The mugs stack neatly and have large holes in the handles for easy hanging. The metal is brushed stainless steel, which I think looks better than shiny steel and is easy to clean. Larger cups don't have internal markings for 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, etc., so you end up pulling multiple cups when a recipe calls for multiple different measurements. No big deal. Anyway, I have other measuring cups for it. I was hoping to find professional quality measuring cups that are forged in one piece and have handles strong enough to scoop hard ice. I can't find any made larger and they were quite expensive. These handles are spot welded to the cup so I wouldn't push on them too hard as they might break. This is typical of all steel measuring cups I've been able to find and these handles seem much stronger than others.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Without automatic control
