For better or worse, they will change the look of your jeep!

I read reviews on everything I buy from Revain. I like to hear positive feedback, but my focus is on negative feedback. After reading them all I still couldn't find any reason not to buy them. I figured I prefer the wire mesh that attaches to the back of the grille as it affects the look of the Jeep Wrangler, which some may find undesirable. For example, when mounted on a white grille, the buttstock slots will look too large. To me they seem to complement the look and go really well with the hood guard/deflector. See photos below. I opted for matte black rather than gloss black or just awful chrome and I'm very happy with it. Now for the complaints. One reviewer said they were rough around the edges and didn't fit well. I find they are well made from durable injection molded plastic, fit perfectly when oriented correctly (there is a top and bottom) and require no trimming at all. Make sure you order the right make, model and most importantly year. They don't fit for a few years but for my 2007 they fit perfectly. One guy said he broke a clip during installation. They don't seem fragile at all and must have been mishandled. Another reviewer claimed that they scratched the paint when the clips made contact with the rust during installation. He may have blacked out the grille like some do and didn't properly prep the surface, but the standard clear coat on mine didn't suffer one bit as the clamp ramps are smooth and only touch the last 1/4 inch before sitting. which is causing a problem. . last complaint/concern. will they stay If you follow the instructions and remove the grille to complete the installation I don't see how they could just fall out, not in a gust of wind, not in a car wash and here's why. They snap into place fairly securely, but need to be clamped on either side of the grille to ensure they are properly seated. You think they've snapped into place but they're not and if you're lazy and don't want to spend 5 minutes removing and replacing the grille then yes they can fall out as you can't be sure they will Sitting without visual and tactile confirmation. I really like them and can't fault them at all, "and that's all I can say."
