Review on Breville Stainless Steel BES810BSS Duo Temp Pro Espresso Machine by Jeff Strutz

My daughter received this amazing little Delonghi machine (price $100) and I immediately fell in love with making espresso and frothing milk for lattes. Your machine makes milk insanely foamy, so I started looking at other machines. Friends have highly recommended the Breville Barista but I already have a good coffee grinder so paying extra for it was foolish. This is a sister model to the Barista - basically the same machine, minus the coffee grinder. Assembly was very easy and the instructions are great. Surprised my first try was so good as I expected to have to make some adjustments for a while before I found something I liked. The pace was great. DeLonghi struggled to raise the temperature. This is not a problem. I preheated the filter as recommended and steamed the milk until slightly hot to the touch with great results. I also used the Razor as directed along with a fresh buff. For a beginner like me, it took a lot of guesswork. The water tank is big enough and the footprint is reasonable. Overall, this is amazing value. Just received so don't know about durability. Happy with the purchase and looking forward to saving a small fortune for the latte. I've also had a couple of Nespresso machines that require capsules. Throw that away. The pods are expensive and the included milk frother compares well to everything, but Duo Temp is way better and you won't get wet if you buy super expensive pods. Update: It's been over a year now and it's still working great. . However, I am considering switching to a super automatic. It's not that difficult to use, but it takes a few minutes from start to finish, and the automation at this stage is very appealing.
