Guide to Successful Translation - Many Methods

wow. WOW.Transfers is a tricky thing. Transfers can be disappointing. A method may provide a perfect transfer once and then never seem to work again. Unsuccessful translations resulted in many of my works being destroyed. Though they're spirited - and seemingly for everyone - Darlene Olivia McElroy and Sandra Duran Wilson broke with the mold and tamed the vicious transfer paths. Or at least explains how to get them to behave for artists. With all the problems one faces when transferring, it's amazing that many artists just don't give up. I personally know many who have. Enter the names of the authors of this book and your success rate could skyrocket. Into the Stratosphere You can easily go from hating hyphens and never using them to using them for anything that stands still. This book is of great importance. Many methods are described there. An example of each method is demonstrated in the work of one of the talented authors. My favorite place? Troubleshooting section. Even under the excellent tutelage of these transfer divas, you will have transfers that go awry. Why? They explain the possible reasons and then give you solutions! (Hear the trumpet?) These girls lay out the necessary materials, give clear instructions, take incredible steps, tell you about the archival quality of each method, solve problems, and give you ideas on recommended substrates. What more do you want. Serious? The Transfer Divas (that's what I renamed these ladies) even have a section at the end about where to buy supplies. Swing! The instructions are easy and doable, and it's nice to know that translations are actually possible. Whether you are successful or need help, Transfer Divas has a great website and they are available. I had a question about one of the products so I emailed Darlene. She responded with an answer — just hours later. Yay! If you can't say I love this book. I am glad that transfers are possible. I'm thrilled, the directions are simply structured. I'm impressed that Transfer Divas took the time to test so many methods, explained them so clearly and wrote such a fantastic book. If you find translation attractive, you should get this book. Some methods use things you most likely already have in your studio, and if you don't, it's easy to get hold of. I think the most expensive product they use is Yupo paper and even that isn't very expensive. Transfers place great value on any work of art - this book gives you options for many techniques and astronomically increases your chances of success. Love Transfer Divas - love the book!
