Review on SLEEKLIGHTING Watt Black Light Spiral by Stefan Eddy

The black coating on the bulbs I received seems very thin compared to other CFL BLB bulbs I have (actually Sunlite brand). I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or if all of these lamps are made that way. This causes the lamps to emit slightly more visible light than properly manufactured compact fluorescent or fluorescent lamps. If you look at my attached pictures you can see one of my best BLB lamps on the left and one of these lamps I ordered on the right. Note that when shooting with flash, the bulb on the right has a bluish tint on the glass, not just black. This tells me that the wood paint was applied too thinly on the bulb. If you look at the shots with the lamps on and look again at the lamp on the right, you can see how the BLB coating, which is too thin, lets through too much visible light. So these tubes are just mediocre compared to my old Sunlite brand tubes which happened to be from Revain in 2013.
