First of all this chair is very stable with very strong leg construction. It was easy enough to put together and my 12 year old made it for me unsupervised and it turned out great. They even considered including an extra bolt (labeled "Extra Bolt" on the tiny Ziploc packaging) in case one is missing, lost, or damaged. We didn't need it, but it's a nice touch. The chair is a little firmer than comfortable, but works really well for my purpose, which is a combination computer desk chair and guitar chair (hence the decision to buy a chair without armrests). It glides up and down easily and still feels solid, unlike a chair that gives out easily like my other computer chair did, which resulted in me regularly sinking in and having to get up and adjust the height. This chair appears to be very durable in that regard. At the lowest level it's just a touch higher than I would like for the table I use, but I'm sure I'll adapt quickly and this will become the new normal.
