Review on πŸ’« Renewed SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds Pro R190: True Wireless, Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Earbuds by Goro Ueda ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

For those who pre-ordered S21, a free set of headphones was included. + Because Samsung uses their own proprietary audio codec, the best possible audio experience can only be had within the Samsung ecosystem. In this situation, the depth and detail of their sound is ideal. True low end. In this case, the margin on volume is fairly good. + If your headphones are a good fit for your ears (I found that roughly half of my friends didn't), then you won't have to do anything more to block out ambient noise. Turning on Active Noise Cancellation effectively reduces annoying background noise (white noise, pink noise, hum) in quiet environments. Simultaneously, the automobile horn is muted (if you are signaled). + In ANC mode, playing at loud "9" for two hours drains around half the battery. - There is a 33% chance that you can open the case only by touching it; however, as the lid's recesses are identical on all but one side, you'll need to look at the case in order to figure out where to open it. - Due to their inability to win, they are completely unfit for athletic competition. Because of this, aural contact is disrupted, noise reduction wanes, and so on. In general, headphones are intended for non-professional use. The universality of whole rubber bands is dubious at best. Thankfully, the larger ear cushions fit well in my ears. - Wearing a hood, buff, or hat causes the sensors to go off in error. If your headphones keep falling out of your ears, you'll have to keep putting them back in. The earpiece's location sensor consistently malfunctions and loses sensitivity to touch during these types of operations ("insert the earpiece into your ear"). There's a period of time between taking it out of your ear and putting it back in, so be patient. To sum up, the headphones are fantastic for casual use within the Samsung environment but are completely unfit for physical activity. If I think of anything further to add, I'll eat my review.

Pros
  • advantages: better sound (when using a Samsung phone), better isolation from outside noise, and greater independence.
Cons
  • It's impossible to play sports (they'll fall out), the ear cushions are poorly designed (they won't fit the ears of people in the year 2022), and the headphones' sensors are easily triggered by rubbing against one's clothes, all of which are problems.
