I'm relatively new to sharpening. I have bought so many sharpeners over the years and have never felt comfortable sharpening my more expensive knives. I read about it on some Blade forums and took a chance. So far I've mainly used them on my cheaper knives, but I've tried one of my more expensive, large 7" blades. My greatest joy is that even though I'm a beginner, I don't seem to have damaged the blades. There are some good YouTube videos on how to use this. The most important thing is to keep the blade as vertical as possible. I love that they have a pair of coarse and fine chopsticks and that the chopsticks are stored in a wooden base. I don't like having all 4 wands installed, a ceramic wand touching a diamond wand which I think can do some damage. However, I only build in a thin or coarse pair when sharpening, so that doesn't have many values. Price it's great to learn and keep your knives sharp without spending a fortune and not being a sharpening guru.
