I bought two of these for PCs with D-Link DWA-552 Xtreme N wireless adapter cards Both PCs are on the floor under desks. The computers are networked to a D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N wireless router. The first computer is located in another room, 29 feet from the router. There is a wall (wood frame/drywall) between the PC and the router. The D-Link ANT24-0230 antenna increased the initial signal level from 3 bars (good) to a solid 5 bars (excellent). The antenna is on the computer desk. I had to play around with the placement of the three antennas to get a consistent 5 bar signal level. The second computer is in another room 51 feet from the router. There are four walls (wood frame/drywall) between the PC and router. The D-Link ANT24-0230 antenna increased the initial signal strength by 2 and sometimes 3 bars (low to good) to a whopping 4 bars (very good). The antenna is located on top of the computer desk monitor stand. I had to play around with the positions of the three antennas to get a consistent 4 bar signal strength.
