Review on ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer, White: Efficient Mixing in a Sleek Design by Johnny Weber

Great for the first 9 months

I chose this blender to replace my Hamilton Beach blender which I have had for 12 years. It has a really powerful motor as other customers have mentioned (including an overly powerful 'slow' setting which was annoying at times). And I love this blender. However, after 9 months one of the beaters started spinning out of rhythm and after about a week both beaters were "off" and the motor was so weak I couldn't even mix my buttercream frosting (with soft butter) could mix. I've used this for typical home use - mainly cake batter, frosting, cookie dough and mashed potatoes - about once a week on average. I was very disappointed in such a wonderful name as Cuisinart. I was also disappointed that there weren't any additional whisk types (like my HB, and that my old whisks didn't fit this holder). Didn't think I would miss the 'snap box' that HB had - to store mallets and cables. But after using this I realized how useful it actually is.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Not as good as it says it is
