I bought a lot of these "pairs". I connected WS2811 LED ICs and wired them up in winter (November-March-Philadelphia). When I unplugged the display for storage, the 2 sockets pulled a pin out of the plugs. Now I've used them again to connect more WS2811 ICs and once they connect and other times they don't. I've spent hundreds of dollars and hours and have intermittent connections. Maybe they shouldn't be connected, disconnected and reconnected? Very disappointed and many dollars spent on wasted diagnostic time. You need something metal with threaded connectors.
