Get this adapter for perfect 5120 x 1400 control; looks great too.

I bought this adapter and Cable Matter DP1.4 USB-C DisplayPort adapter for comparison; I have to say after using both, this one won me over. First, both cables worked great with my Samsung CRG9 on my Macbook Pro, delivering a full 5120 x 1400 resolution, although I was only able to get 60Hz with either cable. but I think it's my laptop and not the cable. In terms of performance, you can't go wrong with any cable. In terms of build quality, however, the Tomtoc wins by a wide margin and is definitely worth $2 more at the time of comparison. It's better looking and even has a braided cord and indicator light to show when it's on. It also came in a nice storage bag. Cable Matter's adapter was very basic, although it's a bit smaller and also has a metal frame. I don't normally write reviews but I was so surprised but just had to put one up to make people aware of this cable when aesthetics are as important as performance. Enjoy!

Pros
  • Plug & Play: Plug and play, no additional drivers or installation required. It connects a USB-C enabled device directly to monitors, displays, etc.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
