I've found it increasingly difficult to unscrew plastic caps on bottles because especially if the connection doesn't have enough perforations or something like that it breaks when you twist it. Sometimes I had to use a knife to try and cut it open so I could unscrew the lid. It came to a head when I ordered sparkling water and the lids literally couldn't be opened. I couldn't believe how well it worked. I have a slightly arthritic thumb and the application is completely painless. This would be incredibly helpful for those who are starting to lose strength to pucker tight tops or have arthritis that makes pinching and twisting painful.
