Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Waterproof Clear Playing Cards by Hoyle by Raymond Iglesias

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for math pool games

These cards are already a summer hit! For $6 we have so much fun the kids will improve their math skills and get loads of exercise. Here are two ways to use them: water) and race for 10 hearts, all even numbers, numbers divisible by 3, etc. 2๏ธโƒฃ Throw only numbered cards (2-10) into the pool (you can for example all numbered ones or only red or black) and then ask the children to race to bring cards that form an equation to get a specific number. The kids love it! We also set rules like: - your equation must contain at least 3, 4 or 5 cards - we exclude 10's - we exclude "two digit numbers". This means you can only get one of each number. No 2x2 for example. When I'm feeling like a weakling, we even turn on aces to use as ones. But it makes it a lot easier, so be careful! - We throw more or less cards. We usually do one suit per player, but adding more makes it easier to find the card you're looking for. I love how you can adapt it to your child's level. It was so much fun seeing the equations they come back with. They literally beg us to do this and I love how they work on a quick math memorization. and simple equations! The ink on the cards is starting to bleed in places, but we've used them enough times that we don't care. They totally justified the price for what we used them for. Cheaper than a math textbook and way more fun! As other reviewers have noted, they are stiff when taken out of the box, but they loosen up and are easier to play out of the water. Just understand that they are more plastic than paper, so they will differ from traditional playing cards.
