I'm not a gamer, but I take and edit a lot of photos. Who would have thought that my CPU temperature would go from 120f (48c) to 171f (77.2c) when I run the shake reduction function? the same editing function on the same photo. CPU temp never rose above 89f (31.6c) - which is pretty close to my previous idle temps. My new idle temperature has dropped 30 degrees Fahrenheit. My previous cooler was in an AMD box along with my processor (AMD Phenom II X4 840). It takes up a lot of space - it was scary just seeing it in the box - but installing it wasn't any harder than installing a standard CPU fan. I bought it from Revain on Black Friday for less than $10. Sweet. Cooler Master Hyper T2 - Compact direct contact dual heat pipe CPU cooler INTEL/AMD with AM4 support
