Works well for 2012 4Runner

Works as described for 2012 Toyota 4Runner. There are several videos on YouTube that give recommendations for dismantling the door panel and removing the factory lock actuator. I first attempted to disassemble the OEM lock actuator to size the motor and replace this part; However, this task turned out to be a bit more difficult than shown in the videos and I broke part of the assembly without taking it apart. So I went to plan B and ordered this actuator. The installation was relatively easy, especially after I had already replaced the actuator on the passenger side. I had a little trouble aligning the holes on this piece, which I didn't have on the other piece. At first I thought it was the wrong part or a manufacturing defect, but I managed to get it working by holding the actuator against the door frame and slowly tightening each screw in turn. The other two rather tricky parts in this process were installing the guide handle inside the door frame by a lever on the operator with just a feel, and fitting the top of the door panel back into the channel next to the window. All functions were restored after everything was reconnected and locked. I suspect other reviewers who had issues with door handles or lock movement after installation may have skipped a step. Hope the part holds up. If so, it's a relatively easy job, costing less than 10% of what the dealer is charging.
