Review on 🐠 Penn-Plax 75-Watt Fully Submersible Aquarium Heater: Precise 1 Degree Accuracy - Ideal for Up to 15 Gallon Tanks by Quas Santiago

Frustrating, it didn't work. I saw some mixed reviews but bought based on previous experience where I had a larger unit that lasted about 8 years before giving up last year. Unfortunately, this heater did not work properly. My tank was at 78 degrees and I adjusted the thermostat to 80 degrees (1/2 way to 82) but the light wouldn't come on. I had to move the dial almost 86 degrees before it would turn on, but the next morning my tank was only at 76 degrees. Waited a full 24 hours, still no change. Glad I followed that or I might lose the aquarium. This was the 100 watt version and I put it in a 16 gallon tank with an internal temp of around 70 degrees. I will come back and look for a more reliable brand.
