I bought the Kamenstein and Old Thompson designs because I wanted different spices for each (there were 8 duplicates between 2 and 8 originals). I really love Kamenstein more than Old Thompson for the following reasons. Where the Old Thompson gets stuck, the Kamenstein turns clean. It doesn't matter much to me, but it might for some.2. Kamenstein's lids are the ones you press on one side to choose whether to shake or pour. Old Thompson is the guy you can pick up with your fingernail. Pain when you just need a quick seasoning.3. Kamenstein offers free spice refills for 5 years.
