Great for Ethereum mining on cards like 5700 XT and RTX 3080

I buy 1mm and 0.5mm and stack them on RTX 3080 and 5700 XT graphics cards as needed. The memory of these two GPUs is known to reach temperatures between 90 and 100 degrees when mining Ethereum. For some reason graphics card manufacturers like to use cheap thermal pads, so I replaced the thermal pads on the memory modules with these pads. Temperatures typically drop from 100 degrees to the mid 80's which is a huge improvement. I've replaced pads on probably 20 graphics cards with these thermal pads and the result is always the same, which is excellent. I highly recommend these thermal pads if your memory temperatures are high while mining Ethereum. Buy a pack of 1mm and 1 pack of 0.5mm for each card and stack them as needed as GPUs can use thermal pads from 0.5mm to 2mm and you usually don't know what thickness you need until disassemble the card. They are very easy to cut with a sharp razor and a ruler as a guide, and are sticky enough to stick to the heatsink without being very difficult to handle or reinstall.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
