I'm shocked: Computers and Accessories

My Gigabyte 3080 Xtreme hit 110c in memory in 10 minutes. I doubled them up to replace the 2mm spacer I pulled from the card, which fits perfectly. The temperature dropped from 110C to 72C. I don't know what these manufacturers think when they do incorporate these inferior seals into their products.

Purchased to keep the GDDR6X memory temperature down on my MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio which reached 110C (TOO HOT). The RAM temperature is now reduced to a maximum of 96-98 °C. Worth every penny and will definitely help extend the life of my precious graphics card!

Works great on RTX 3080 Founders Edition

To be honest I wasn't expecting that much cooling just by swapping out the thermal pad. The VRAM temperature of my RTX 3080 Founders Edition dropped from 104°C to 78°C after I changed the front pads to 2mm (1mm stacked). I suspect the factory pads weren't making good contact, which most likely explains the huge temperature drop. The back plate side required 1.5mm washers and to be honest I'm not sure that helped at all.

Fixed My 3080 Founders Edition

Received this to update 3080 Founders Edition. Right out of the box it went over 100 degrees when gaming, and when mining (I know, I know, gotta get the card back somehow) thermal throttling to 110 degrees and crashing. I got one of these pads and it held the entire memory page. If you want to do both sides or have 3090 you will need 3 packs. They lowered the temperature from 110C to 86C during mining, and even lower in games. These are worth their weight in gold. I have no idea why the 3080…

1.5mm pads for 3090 FE

As the owner of a brand new 3090 FE I was very upset when my memory started to fail. Then came the message that the memory was lit for 106s. I knew I had to re-insert and re-lay the card. These pads are exactly what I need. I installed them on an MSI Trio 3080 because I have extremely high VRAM temperatures in everything I do, but especially in mining, which I do to offset some of the cost of the card. Previously, at minus 500MHz on memory and full fan speed, I kicked the RAM at 110C (83MHz/s when mining). Absolutely unacceptable. Fits 3080FE

I received 1 pack of 3mm and 1 pack of 2mm and it was barely enough to cover the front and back. If you are planning on forms two packs should be enough, if not I recommend buying two packs of thicker pads. I also STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you go with the 2mm and 1.5mm instead of what I bought. I watched some videos and they used gel of this thickness but they are from different brands and this gel is much harder and not as soft. Great for Ethereum mining on cards like 5700 XT and RTX 3080

I buy 1mm and 0.5mm and stack them on RTX 3080 and 5700 XT graphics cards as needed. The memory of these two GPUs is known to reach temperatures between 90 and 100 degrees when mining Ethereum. For some reason graphics card manufacturers like to use cheap thermal pads, so I replaced the thermal pads on the memory modules with these pads.
