How is radio supposed to fit in this thing?!

I have no idea what this radio is for. I bought this with the intention of installing it in my RV via an aftermarket single din radio. I didn't care about the water resistance, it was to keep my 2 year old daughter from pushing the buttons on the radio as the radio in my motorhome is set very low from the factory. I have something similar on my bike so I figured it would work fine. 1 The United States is unnecessarily large. 2 I assumed the space between the two inner tabs would be large enough to fit a standard single din radio, or at least be really easy to remove, which wasn't the case. I've now seen in reviews that several people have cut them out to work with their radio, but the protrusions are a hard plastic material and require something like a Dremel tool to cut them out. I really don't want to cut what I just spent $20 on. It's absolutely insane to me that this doesn't fit in a standard radio, most single din radios are about the same size as they are designed to be pretty versatile in space. Why shouldn't it be built for that. The product itself appears to be of good quality if it actually works for you again. I have no idea what radio this is supposed to be for. The picture on the box is of a regular full size radio that takes up all the space between them. Ring. The product itself comes with no instructions, so I'm not sure if there's a trick I don't see. I literally have no idea how to get the radio and pass those tabs as advertised. It looks like it should work like the picture on the box but I don't know how.

Pros

Cons
