this thing has everything it has a backlight which I thought what a difference but it turned out to be gives my favorite things now. how did i get along without it? It has a pause function that instantly returns you to the previous speed. One of the biggest things that bothered me about Kitchenaid hand mixers is that they shut off and you have to cycle through all the speeds again! To get you where you've been it's got a timer to tell you how long you've been mixing and solid dough hooks that really cut through the mustard lol. It's worth the money and seems to last forever. This is the best well-made hand mixer I've found. I also like two whisks, you usually only get one, and I'm telling you two makes all the difference. much faster. I have nothing negative to say about this mixer. I paid $99 plus for a 9 speed cookware that wasn't made as well as this one and lasted half as long. I don't think you will regret it. Breville makes really good products, I think I'll look into their other stuff more after that. I think it's worth it.
