This product costs much, much less than the ridiculous price of an OEM part. Whirpool/Kitchenaid charged over $60 (including $10 shipping) for just one of the two parts required. It is a poorly designed injection molded plastic part that appears to have been designed by the manufacturer to fail prematurely. Then they will knock you out for a replacement. The entire top rack is held in place by two 1/4" tabs with a thin plastic lip over a metal slot on each side. This aftermarket part performs at least as well as original equipment, but at a much lower price. I installed it. It's been a few weeks now so I can't speak for life but the material seems just as strong or durable as the original.
