I bought these cartridges after seeing the extremely high price of new HP cartridges. I still have original HP cartridges in one of my laser printers so that I can compare the quality with them. They're really close considering the price difference. The only problem is getting the chips out of old HP toner cartridges and putting them in these regular ones. The package includes a small pair of pliers to help you break off the piece of plastic holding the chip in place and tweezers to help you install the chip. I wish they came with fries but I understand why. Another problem you may encounter is knowing how much toner is actually left in the cartridges. Putting a chip in it from an HP cartridge doesn't reset the chip information, so you can't tell how much toner is left. I plan to order another backup kit when the toner runs out. If you have any doubts about ordering these cartridges, you should at least try them. They work great for me!
