This Tapener Gun is working fine for me. I am a picky customer and I was not that expecting to be happy about the purchase, but I was surprise how well it works. the trick is to learn how to setup the tape properly the first time, after that it works fine. The gun has two step, To operate. 1. press the trigger half way only, to load the tape into the little fingers. 2. Wrap the tape around the plant and them fully press the trigger. this last step will staple and cut the tape from the rest of the roll. at this point the gun needs to be reloaded again starting with step 1 above. good luck
