Bought on the recommendation of a friend who is a kayak fisherman to get his investment (rod and reel) back if the rod and reel ends up in the water. Two days after attaching it to my rods, one of my rods fell out of the rod holder after my kayak swayed the large wake of a passing fishing boat. I have personally witnessed how the float kept my rod from sinking and allowed me to pick it up easily after the water had settled from the wake. Thank you for the product!
