I couldn't get the original outlet to the corner of the tank due to the 3D background so I had a dead zone with water movement. Yes, I could aim for the exit in the opposite direction, but then I would most likely have a stream converging in the middle of the tank that would never hit the fence. This spreads the flow almost the entire length of the 90-gallon tank (with a slight modification to shorten the third pipe). No dead zones, full surface roughness and less hydropower for my South American cichlids.
