I use it to align my telescope's equatorial mount, which saves a lot of time setting up the polar (RA) axis. All I know about accuracy is that on a completely flat surface (really hard to find!) it will perfectly match my 24" Stabila spirit level with the bubble perfectly centered. Inserting a 1/4 inch strip under one end of the Stabila (angle 0.6 degrees) moves the vial two divisions, a reading of about 0.5 degrees. And the reading stays the same when I rotate the spirit level. good enough for me If you want to use it to measure actual angles and not just leveling, you'll spend more money, probably a lot more.
