Review on πŸŽ’ High-Quality Double-Layered Carrying Case for Handheld Multimeter | Tetra-Teknica Essentials Series MCH-01 | Black by Steve Atchley

Included with AstroAI gauge and cable set

I bought this with an AstroAI gauge and an extra set of test cables. The case holds the device well with a Velcro strap with no elastic (meaning it won't fray or sag). The band is narrow enough to use the meter without removing it from the case, although it can easily be pulled out from under the band by sliding the bottom of the case to one side. The meter sets are recessed into the case and while they can slip and fall out when you lift and slide them open, they hold up quite well. If you over-tighten the strap, it will bunch up on the sides of the bag, making it difficult to zip up when items are in other pockets. I'd like to see a strap sewn onto the back to avoid this, but for the price, that's a minor issue. Although the front pocket has an elastic band to keep the measurement cords and the pocket with extra cords secure, it seems like it will sag after a while and use. Again for the price it's nothing to worry about, it can easily be sewn up in the future if this becomes an issue. The zippers, while not the thickest, seem strong enough not to slip or break easily, although I wouldn't stress them too much. The teeth are angled so that they face each other. If you can close the flap, it will snap shut. My only real complaint is the alligator clips, which come with an extra set of cables, have strong rubber coatings, and when placed in a counter pocket they should squeeze fairly hard against the gauge. As this is a cheap meter I'm not overly concerned about it, but if you have a more expensive device or one with an on/off button, be aware. I would like to see a mesh pouch in the front pocket but for the price I won't blame the manufacturer for that. It protects what is inside to the best of our knowledge and belief. Well worth buying if you're looking for a simple pouch to keep your gauge and gear together. I don't worry about tossing a packed case in my electronics bag with my other tools and smashing it up. The gasket seems to protect the gauge quite well. However, if you have a more expensive or sensitive meter, you probably won't rotate it.
