Review on Amazon Basics 3.5-inch SATA HDD Hard Drive πŸ’Ύ Enclosure with USB 3.0 - High-Speed Data Transfer Solution by Amanda Brown

Mech, definitely the best used

Needed on short notice and picked for the price but didn't expect it to be SO cheaply built. The back cover is only held by two clips and rails on the side, it can come off if you lift the device at all. Also, there is NOTHING to hold the hard drive except for the cover and the SATA connector. Clamps on the sides or at the opposite end are useful for this. From the looks of it, you definitely don't want to stand it upright with the cover off (the drive will fall out or possibly the connector will dangle/break off). When the cover is closed, the drive rests on the cover when the device is in the vertical position. I'll probably add some rubber bands at the end to secure the lid a little more. On the plus side, it works and two small pieces of foam were included to mitigate the noise. assembly is clear. This is fine for a user who just needs room for an extra drive, but if you need something remotely reliable, look elsewhere. A machined version of this with screws for the lid and for holding the drive would probably be a decent product. .
