I was afraid to turn on the alarm but wanted to check. I can say with confidence that it is LOUD ENOUGH. It came with a security tag, alarm, etc. Each came with a case that wasn't too much there. I'm glad I bought it. It makes me feel safe when walking alone at night or walking my dog etc. Please take this with you for your own safety.
