I had to pierce the roof of my RV to install solar panels. It's just a ticket. Screw the two cable glands tight over the cables. I used heavy duty glue applied by a caulking gun, attached the block with screws on each side, then covered the edges with white leveling compound. I'm confident this will prevent water ingress and bought a second cable management unit from my roof mounted cellular booster. While everything appears to be very airtight and watertight, I recommend pointing the cable entries away from the direction of travel to keep water out.
