I use this on my Renogy 30W solar panel. Excellent construction. There are no building instructions included, but you can go to the Renogy website and the online building instructions are clear and simple. Renogy's customer service is excellent having had several conversations about their 30w solar panel. They are very knowledgeable and also enthusiastic about their products.

Eh. Other panels do this with minimal fuss, but the ends of the legs have no plastic feet or any hardware, just sharp-edged aluminum. You should also supply nylon washers for the threaded connection where the legs fold. They come with lock washers so the legs won't move as easily when you tighten them. Generally this works for small panels, but it would be better with rubber or plastic feet and the right washers to allow the feet to fold and unfold better.

They were delivered as promised, all parts were included, they are very strong and very easy to install. 1 star deducted because 1) Cables from the controller to the batteries could be longer. It was not possible to hang the controller in the most optimal place. Another 4 feet wouldn't hurt. 2) Controller documentation could be more descriptive for error codes. Just gives you a line of what it is but not what it actually means or what to do to fix it. In general, once installed, it works great.

Remaining molded jacket to be removed from the cable path (inside the hole that closes when compressed with a gland/nut). Not a big deal, but since the inside of the hole was a bit rough at the time, I put an RTV on the outside to ensure a good watertight seal. I ordered this by mistake as I would have preferred one with a flange for mounting bolts, but time was short so I drilled a hole in the center and used a 2-1/2" mounting bolt and nut that went into the fiberglass high plate of my van…

I had to pierce the roof of my RV to install solar panels. It's just a ticket. Screw the two cable glands tight over the cables. I used heavy duty glue applied by a caulking gun, attached the block with screws on each side, then covered the edges with white leveling compound. I'm confident this will prevent water ingress and bought a second cable management unit from my roof mounted cellular booster. To be honest I can't say for sure if this thing even works! After a whole month of waiting, they still haven't sent my solar panels, charged the controller, etc. Beware of Renogy! Sometimes they are great and your items are delivered well...sometimes they don't even bother to let you know there is a delay and although they promise an arrival date they don't give tracking information because they didn't tell you have that it concerns your items were not even sent!
