I've probably looked through every other iPad suction cup and knee mount solution to find NOTHING that would fit my Tecnam Echo (Light Sport). Cabin space doesn't get much smaller than in this roomy LSA, so I needed something to use my full-size 9.8-inch iPad in the cabin. I know the 9.8 inch iPad was a bad idea for the LSA, but here we are. I tried all options to avoid this clip because I didn't expect it to be useful. I thought it was an expensive cheap clip that would barely hold my tablet, and yet - here I sing her praises. It holds the iPad firmly and yes when used in portrait mode it blocks a VERY small portion of the screen, you can slide the iPad in any direction to position the grips to block as little as possible. If that's still not acceptable, flip it to landscape and you're good to go. They even have a cutout for the home button. I had to start here - with a little space in my LSA and a huge iPad - it was really my only solution from the start.
