The monitor is good as long as it works. But the HP quality is dropping

I've had this product for a little over a year (so it was mostly out of warranty). One morning the screen started displaying everything with a pink tint. I called HP, but they couldn't help but advise buying another one (I wanted to spend another $400 on an HP monitor for just a year, for example).
