I use these bowls not only for pasta, but also for microwavable food in plastic containers. I don't like reheating food in plastic, so I pour the food's contents into pasta bowls without fear of toxins. The curved edges of the bowls make them much easier to work with than a plate. They have been washed in the dishwasher many times and are still like new. I've had them for about 5 months and they've been used a lot. I will buy more. Highly recommended.
