Review on ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Magellan RoadMate 360 Portable GPS Navigator with 2.9-Inch Screen by Shah Moser

Magellan is pretty good

I'm used to a Garmin handheld that I use for boating and was looking forward to this car unit. Overall, this is an excellent tool and does everything it advertises. I only have 2 small disadvantages. First, the instruction manual isn't particularly well organized or written. It took a long time, with a lot of trial and error, to learn how to use it properly. The necessary information is scattered in different sections of the manual. My second concern relates to the choice of routes. You enter a destination. Easy enough once I figured out how to do it. Magellan then offers several options for selecting the route type, such as: B. the shortest route and bypassing toll roads. However, the obvious choice of shortest distance is not available. As a result, when we traveled on familiar routes, we often drove longer on other, unfamiliar roads. However, when you travel to unfamiliar places, this device is just great. You can never get lost. If you make a wrong turn, it will show you the exact direction to go. The display is great and clear and the device is very easy to move from car to car. It has many other nice features like a list of places of interest and essentials like banks, restaurants and gas stations. Overall a pretty great product.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • poorly thought out
