Pretty good product for the price

Overall this is a good product for the price. There are some problems I encountered: - The system is a bit slow and sometimes freezes. Then you have to wait a while for it to thaw. The screen refresh rate is quite slow when trying to zoom in/out and scroll the map quickly. It's very annoying when someone tries to use the device in map mode to just search for roads. This device is a GREAT driving assistant. However, I'm hesitant to rely "fully" on the device's voice prompts when driving inโ€ฆ

died after 60 days of unsupported use WITHOUT SUPPORT

This was my first GPS purchase. The device worked well for the first 6 weeks with the same poor performance and Qwerks that others complained about. In the last 2 weeks it started shutting down and restarting spontaneously. This problem got worse and now the device won't stay on for more than a few seconds before rebooting, rendering it unusable. I found the "support" in Magellan (Thales navigation) terrible. After 3 attempts and 2 weeks of correspondence, they still have not provided me withโ€ฆ

First, the instruction manual isn't particularly well organized or written. It took a long time, with a lot of trial and error, to learn how to use it properly. The necessary information is scattered in different sections of the manual. My second concern relates to the choice of routes. You enter a

Pretty Good Electronics โ€“ Terrible Mechanics

Thought I'd buy Revain for $199 on Black Friday 2006. Despite some other feedback on blocking or database issues, I decided to take a chance at such a good price. The electronics have worked well so far. The manual won't help, but if you spend a few minutes with the menu, it's pretty intuitive. My main criticism of this product relates to some of the mechanical design features. The power adapter broke after two days of use. The center pin that connects to the car's 12 volt plug fell out of theโ€ฆ
