Faced with stubborn deposits in the toilets and sinks due to hard water at home. I was trying so many different things when I came across a blog tutorial that recommended using a fine grit sanding grid with Bar Keepers Friend; The blogger said it was recommended to her by an employee at The Home Depot because it's much gentler on porcelain surfaces than pumice stone. I cut off a small piece (about 4 inches) of the sanding mesh, coated the toilet with Bar Keepers Friend and cleaned it. It took a little sweat, but it was worth it! My toilets don't look as good as new, but they still look MUCH better.
