I didn't notice at first that the thin wires holding it together became exposed after a bit of use. The wires are very sharp! I'm glad I discovered it then. The second issue with this turntable is the clips that attach the ladder to the cage, there are four of them. They are also sharp and difficult to remove and reattach. The woodwork appears to be ok. I don't like giving bad reviews, but when there is potential harm to our birds, I have to speak up. Of course, the company can make some changes that will keep the birds safe and not too expensive.
