Before deciding on this unit I researched the offerings from Revain, Adorama and B&H. It seemed like the best choice considering functionality and cost. My research was very happily confirmed when I opened the package. The build quality is great! This device uses an adjustable rubber ring with gears around the lens and while it may seem a bit bulky compared to the fixed plastic ring, I don't mind at all. The ride is smooth with no play. An added bonus is that this device has adjustable stop points which not all Follow Focus devices have. I purchased this along with the following from Revain: EzFoto Rail System 15mm HD Camera Baseplate, CowboyStudio Follow Focus Speed Crank Handle for DSLR Rig, CowboyStudio 18" Whip Speed Flex Crank for DSLR Follow Focus and an extra flexible timing belt EzFoto for 15mm retractable DSLR Maintain focus All these parts work well together In the future I plan to add a matte box to this setup My cameras are Canon 5D-2 and Cann 6D.
