This is a great addition to protecting our pets on sea voyages. They were a bit shy when we first put them on, but now every time we take them out the dogs go nuts because they know they're going on a boat trip. They are easy to catch when they fall off the handle. On our second trip, our Miniature Pinscher fell off the dock and was easy to catch and drag back to the dock, saving the dog from a more stressful event. My only recommendation is to go a slightly larger size as they seem easier to tighten with straps and velcro but are difficult to size up. A dog is a little cozy.
