I did not need a black barrel, it seems to be for newer models, the cartridge is immediately replaced with it. And in my mixer, only the cartridge will change. Changing it yourself is as easy as shelling pears, you need to arm yourself with a pair of hex keys. You can even leave the faucet on the sink. It is disassembled from the top, starting with the water supply handle.

- Well, of course the price. For the price of this cartridge, you can now buy another whole faucet, or even two faucets. True, they will not have such precise adjustment as Grohe. So I had to take the original. All I needed was a gasket though.
